Free Ukulele video lessons are available here specifically for early childhood educators. No prior music experience is needed to get started. Moreover each lesson moves slowly and clearly so complete beginners can follow along with confidence.

Why Learn the Ukulele?

The Ukulele is one of the most effective instruments for early childhood music education. Its bright, cheerful sound immediately engages young children and invites singing. Furthermore with just three chords — C, F and G — educators can play dozens of familiar songs that children aged 0–6 already love. As a result it is one of the most practical instruments for classroom use.

What You Will Learn

Four video lessons take you step by step through the C, F and G chords. Each lesson builds on the previous one so your confidence grows progressively. Moreover by the end of Lesson 4 you will move smoothly between all three chords in a variety of combinations.

Lesson Guide

Lesson 1

Start by learning the C, F and G chords individually. Practice until each transition feels smooth and comfortable..

Lesson 2

Next practice moving between two chords at a time — C-F, C-G, F-G and their reverses. Additionally this builds muscle memory for smooth chord changes.

Lesson 3

After that try three-chord combinations including C-F-C and C-G-F patterns. Consequently your fingers begin to anticipate the next chord naturally.

Lesson 4

Finally put it all together with four-chord combinations mirroring real early childhood songs. Therefore by the end you are ready to play in your classroom!
